Monday Mural

This week's Monday Mural comes from Jet, Ok.  We were driving through there one day when Dennis and I took a road trip.
I guess it represents the cattle drive.  But I thought this guy that stands in front of it was pretty interesting.
I also love this little pink house in the middle of the town!
Happy Columbus Day!  Much love, Cheri

  2. It looks like it was painted a while ago and is fading away. Maybe someone will refresh it!

  3. What a neat mural, despite its age.

  4. I always wondered what was in Jet. I have a customer who lives there.

  5. The cattle drive is a strong part of our romanticized vision of the Old West. There are ranches that, for a pretty penny, allow dudes to participate in a cattle round-up. Would LOVE to do that. Beats eating trail dust for weeks while driving cattle north. The cut-out farmer looks like something out of a grade school wood puzzle. Everything about your post is so nostalgic about our cowboy past. Thanks for contributing to Monday Mural.

  6. Looks like Jet, and this cut-out, have seen better days. Very interesting wagon there though.
