Glimpses of spring!

Dennis and I got out of the house today!  We went to a neighboring town and hit Lowe's which was packed.  It was nice to have a nice warm day and I know Dennis is glad it's getting warmer where he can go outside.  Today we hit 80 but the the high for Monday is only suppose to be 43.  Come on!
Here is my squirrel who is glad we are stocking the maze now.
Much love, Cheri

Blessed Easter Everyone!

The weather has been so cold and windy that Dennis and I haven't got to get out and take any pictures, but we are hoping to remedy that this weekend.  So you get to see a picture of the love of my life!
Much love, Cheri  (and Deacon)

My daughter Whitney got engaged last night.  I always knew this day would come but you never really prepare yourself for it.  Her name won't be Boyer anymore, what's up with that?  Nick proposed in a very romantic way and she called me bawling, of course I am thinking they have had a wreck etc.,  but I am happy that she was so over the moon happy.  Then your mom mode kicks in and you can't sleep thinking of things that have to be done and what are we going to do about this and where are we going to do this and finally God says "Cheri, go to sleep, it will all be fine." I always hoped that Dennis and I were good enough parents to be a good example, but just like everything else in life there are days when you are good parents and there are days when you are lousy parents.  You just hope your children know that either way they are unconditionally loved and you hope they can learn from your mistakes.  I know for sure that we could not have done anything without some help from God.   Thanks, God for being there all through her life, during the good times and during the very bad times, you never left her side.  I am so thankful that you are a loving God ready to take us back into your arms and sustain us through everything.  I am hoping that my daughter and her new husband to be, will learn that God is always there for them when they keep Him in there lives and marriage is hard even with God, I can't imagine marriage without Him.  Much love, Cheri (mom)

During the clean up after the snowstorm I had my camera taking pictures of neighbors and friends.  Dennis yelled at me to come and get this cool shot of our frontyard lamp.
The snow had broken away from the lamp and was about to fall away.  We thought it was cool!

It takes a Village!

The last post I showed you a little of what a caregiver has to go throught during a snowstorm and power outage.  This post I'm going to show you why I love living in the place I live with the people I live with.  The first night of having the generator on I told you that our friends Max and Pete came and filled my generator with gas and brought more gas.  What I didn't tell you that most of the roads were impassable, but they did it anyway.  I can't tell you what a relief it was to me.  Then the next day Max came over that morning and filled it again.  When the storm had passed my father in law needed to get over here and a man that lives across the street from has a tractor with a blade.  Brian Gosney blazed a trail for my father in law to get over here to check on Dennis and his mom who lives across the street.  Then Brian cleared my driveway.   This is Brian doing us a huge favor!

People were clearing our streets and our neighbors Sandy and Jason were shoveling neighbors drive ways.

This is what living in a small, caring community is all about.  God is good!  Much love, Cheri
