New Chair??

We are excited!  This week Dennis got mapped for a new Wheel Chair.  Getting mapped means that they are making sure the place that there is pressure is adequately padded and that his weight and hieght is right for the chair he is getting.  Pressure sores are the evil of being a spinal cord injury patient and we do everything we can to prevent them.  See this blog post if you are not faint of heart!

So we had our favorite PT helping us with the mapping.  Her name is Dawn and she just so happens to be one of my best friends!  Keith is from Tulsa and he brought 2 kinds of chairs that he thought would suit Dennis the best and they decided together what all perks he needed.  Last time Dennis got fitted for a chair he weighed 220 and this time he weighs around 145 to 150.

Now we just have to get it approved (please pray) and they will start building Dennis's chair.  Much love, Cheri

  3. Good luck - I hope the new chair gets approved. That's a great weight loss, it must help with the sores.

I certainly appreciate your commenting. It is a rough go for me, but I hope to get back into the swing of things in the next few weeks. Best of wishes to you!
